Claus-Juergen Cohausz (born 1954) studied law in Muenster after his bank management training.
After his second state examination, he held a variety of posts at WestLB from 1986 before taking over as head of the Marketing/Sales Support department in 1990.
He joint Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank upon its creation in early 1995 as Head of the Executive Office; he played a major role in its organization. In 1996 he became Head of International Real Estate Finance and was responsible for the entire foreign lending business of the Bank in Europe and North America. At the end of 2004 Mr. Cohausz was appointed Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Origination.
Effective 1/1/2006 Claus-Juergen Cohausz became Member of the Managing Board and Chief Origination Officer of WestImmo being responsible for the entire commercial real estate lending business of the Bank in Europe, America and Asia, Real Estate Joint Ventures, Financial Sponsors, Real Estate Structured Finance and Savings Bank Business.
