Klemens Breuer appointed ordinary member of the Managing Board
Supervisory Board accommodates Dietrich Voigtländer’s request to postpone its decision on the chairmanship of the Managing Board
At today’s meeting of the Supervisory Board of WestLB AG, Klemens Breuer was appointed ordinary member of the Managing Board. Klemens Breuer (41) has served as a substitute member of the Managing Board since September 2008. He will remain in charge of the Bank’s Equity Markets, Debt Markets, Research and Treasury operations even in his new position.
At the request of Dietrich Voigtländer (50), the Managing Board postponed the latter’s appointment as ordinary Chairman of the Managing Board as the Bank looks forward to the passing of the amended Act on the Stabilisation of the Financial Markets by both houses of the German parliament. This piece of legislation will provide the Managing Board, the owners and the Bank with clear perspectives for the divestment of the Bank’s non-strategic activities. Dietrich Voigtländer has served as acting Chairman of the Managing Board since May 18, 2009.
