WestLB Issues New Aero-Active-Basket-Certificate

German air traffic controller DFS has already described the year 2007 the “year of records”. The figure of 10,000 flights per day was exceeded on numerous occasions. And with more than 800,000 controlled flights in and over Germany, the second quarter saw an increase of 3.7 % compared with the same quarter of the previous year. Airports are developing into new leisure amenities and profiting from the growing importance of non-aviation business, for example airport gastronomy, property leasing and the retail trade. A steadily growing demand for mobility worldwide – professional and private – and rising freight quotas suggest that air travel will continue to show a positive trend in the future. With the new Aero-Active-Basket-Certificate of WestLB AG, investors have the opportunity to participate in the future development of the securities contained in the stock basket.

The stock basket initially comprises ten companies which are expected to benefit in the long term from the positive developments in the air traffic sector.

The stock basket may be adjusted from time to time to take account of price and market developments. The front-end and management fee is one per cent. In addition there are annual structuring fees of 1.5 per cent. Three quarters of the respective dividends are charged against the fees. The subscription period for the certificate (Sec. No. WLB7CN, ISIN Code: DE000WLB7CN0) ends on 16 November 2007.
