SEPA Cards Framework
“Any Card at any Terminal“
In contrast to the precise definitions of the Rulebooks, the SEPA Cards Frameworks (SCF) only lays down a set of global conditions for the future use of card payments in the SEPA zone. The aim is to harmonise and standardise the card payments systems for debit and credit cards. For this purpose, the EPC will present further concrete measures at the latest by mid 2008.
The German “Electronic Cash” system meets the requirements of the SCF already today.
