WestLB actively protects the confidentiality of information which is transmitted via email.
In the course of the business relationship between WestLB and their clients it may be required to exchange confidential information. WestLB uses the security protocol „SMTP over TLS“ to enable a confidential mail communication via Internet.
„SMTP over TLS“ is a widely recognized and common encryption standard and is supported on most mail servers. If both communication partners are using this solution a confidential that is encrypted communication is ensured.
Please send a request to info@westlb.de with the subject „SMTP over TLS” to get additional information and to establish a secure communication.
Beware of fraudulent e-mails!
WestLB will never send e-mails that ask for confidential information. If you receive an e-mail requesting your banking security details, you should not respond. Please forward it to us at information_security_DUSS@westlb.de . If you are concerned that you may have divulged your security details please contact us on +49 (0)211 826-4444.
