No Management Discussion at WestLB
Dr. Bernd Lüthje, Chairman of the WestLB AG Supervisory Board, today issued the following statement:
"Contrary to certain reports in the press, no search is under way for a new WestLB Managing Board Chairman. Jürgen Sengera is the Chairman of the WestLB Managing Board. Since assuming office, he has achieved an enormous amount in the major task of preparing the Bank for the period after the elimination of institutional liability and guarantor liability. Provoking a management discussion at this juncture is tantamount to damaging the Bank in a deliberate way."
