The capital increase of € 959 million at WestLB AG was completed on November 21, 2005 with the entry in the commercial registers in Düsseldorf and Münster. Sole contributor of the funds is the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. As a result WestLB´s shareholder structure has changed.  The shareholding held directly by the State of North Rhine-Westphalia has now risen to 16.682%. The two savings banks associations, RSGV and WLSGV, each hold 25.475% of the total shares, meaning that they continue to have a combined majority shareholding in WestLB. NRW.BANK has an interest of 32.008%. The regional associations of Westphalia-Lippe and the Rhineland each have a shareholding of 0.18%. The owners of NRW.BANK are the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (64.74%) and the two regional associations of the Rhineland and Westphalia-Lippe (17.63% each).
